Carrie Martin has had a lifetime of experience with horses. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Carrie started with Arabian show horses, primarily in the western pleasure division. She then branched out to other breeds when moving to central Florida. Carrie was introduced to the flat shod Tennessee Walking Horse in 2001 and they quickly became her new focus. She attained her trainers license in 2006 and has introduced multiple young people from around the world to this incredible breed of horse while working at Montverde Academy as their director and head trainer. Now located in middle Tennessee in the heart of Walking horse country Carrie is operating her own training barn. Being known for her positive approach to lessons and instructing, her students have found great success no matter how timid the rider. She brings a unique approach to training the Walking Horse with ground work to establish a strong foundation in her horses. Carrie has enjoyed training for and coaching all ages and levels of riders and is proud of their many accomplishments, both personal and actual. Carrie's horses and riders have attained multiple Regional, International, World and World Grand Championships.
